Welcome to the Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP) workshop site.
Welcome to our website at www.pgpworkshop.org.uk - please bookmark this page for future use.
We have been running workshops for physiotherapists, osteopaths and chiropractors in the UK and Ireland since 2003, travelling as far afield as Inverness, Belfast, Norwich, Abergavenny, Bath, Dublin and Manchester.
Our workshops are aimed at anyone treating PGP (formerly known as Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction or SPD) antenatally or postnatally, in a women’s health setting or musculoskeletal outpatient department or clinic.
We have had excellent feedback from the workshops run so far, and participants have said that they found the new skills learned very useful in day-to-day practice.
Feedback from participants:
"Brilliant Course - definite light bulb moment"
"My expectations were surpassed, significant increase in understanding and confidence. Thankyou!"
"A whole new way of working effectively"
We also run joint workshops for midwives, health visitors, and GPs and obstetricians, as well as for antenatal or exercise teachers looking at treatment as well as practical issues of supporting women and managing PGP in the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods.
